My attempt at Nutella S’mores Bars! The recipe is from http://www.culinarycoutureblog.com/2013/04/nutella-smores-bars.html a food blog I really like. I substituted a couple ingredients that I didn’t have but overall I think they came out pretty good. They’re delicious but you definitely need a glass of milk with them because they are very rich.

In almost every one of my classes Hamlet was brought up or compared to something else we were reading. I think everyone assumes that you read it in High school but I didn’t…we did King Lear instead so all of the references and comparisons have been lost on me. With this said Hamlet is definitely on my reading list this summer.

So see three things is something I learned in counselling, basically it’s a strategy to get your mind off of a negative track and back into reality. When I’m anxious I tend to concentrate on whatever negative thing is bothering me, I can’t get it out of my head, which spirals out of control leaving me in a bad mood and unable to do anything. So to get off this track of thinking you name three things you see, three things you hear and three things you can feel. It usually takes me more than three things but the point is that it forces you to stop thinking of whatever thing you were focusing on before and onto something else. It also gives me time to calm down and it places you in the present instead of thinking of the past or worrying about the future.

I just finished my first year of the Humanities program at Carleton University, I was really nervous at the beginning of the year because I have dropped out of school before and I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to handle it or that I wouldn’t like my program. Luckily, both of these fears turned out to be wrong and I finished this year with good marks and having learned a lot. I’m going to be randomly posting things I really liked or learned this year.

My university grades are in letter form; It’s so strange I feel like I’m in elementary...

I was debating deleting my tumblr altogether tonight which would suck because I do love it but unfortunately procrastination is killing me and I need to concentrate on my last 2 months of school. Luckily, my best friend, rosebudd.tumblr.com thought of a compromise and is changing my password and not allowing me to go on until this semester is over.

It’s probably because I don’t like change (which is ironic in this case) but I think it sucks that Canada is getting rid of the penny…I realize it costs more money to make them than they are worth and most people hate carrying them around but I like them. I like the idea that they don’t seem like much or important but if you save them they add up to something substantial. Also I like that we can break the dollar into its smallest form if that makes any sense.

Things I will miss:

-Lucky pennies
-Wishing with them in fountains
-Penny jars
-Leave a penny take a penny
-Really shiny one’s
-Being able to donate them to better things

So earlier this week my Ipod got drenched in water…aka the worst thing ever. Just plugged it...
